High Tea with Handel a Great Success!

George Frideric Handel and the Handel Choir would like to thank everyone who celebrated his 321st birthday on February 19 by participating in “Sunday in the Castle with George,” our annual fundraising event. This was truly a day to remember, with more than 100 music lovers gathered at the Cloisters Castle to savor fine teas and sweets and enjoy chamber music performed on period instruments. After the concert guests were invited to ask questions about period performance practices and see the instruments up close. Guests bid enthusiastically on a wide variety of silent auction items, and Handel thanked everyone who "bought him a birthday present!"

We thank every donor, every volunteer and every guest for their support. Due to everyone’s generosity, the event raised a record-breaking $6,800.
